2015 Grant Application Deadlines: April 17, 2015 and September 14, 2015
General Information for Grant Seekers
***Please note that these guidelines are for the Foundation’s unrestricted grants and do not necessarily pertain to specific funds***
The Coral Gables Community Foundation’s areas of interest include education, arts and culture, health services, historical preservation, and social services (for the elderly, youth and disabled). Grantees should be §501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
The Foundation’s distributions typically do not exceed $5,000 per grant recipient. The Foundation does not typically consider requests which influence legislation, promote candidates, are for religious, sectarian or individual purposes (except for education), or are to be used to purchase tickets for charitable functions.
Grantees in 2014:
Grants are reviewed on a bi-annual basis, although the Board of Directors has the right to postpone grant disbursements for the purpose of building the Foundation’s endowment base. Please do not purchase expensive presentation materials for your grant request, as the Foundation only requests its Grant Application be completed (below). The Board of Directors reviews all Grant Applications and will notify recipients approximately 45 days following the bi-annual review period. Please keep in mind that timeliness is important. Sending in requests several months before the funding is needed gives an applicant a better advantage.
Those wishing to apply for funding must fill out the Grant Application here.
